Using as a wallet
The sycamore tree is one of my favorite trees. On moonlit nights, its gray/white mottled bark stands out in the woods and along the streams where it grows. Because of this, Midwesterners used to call this tree the ghost tree. This is a large tree that grows upward to 100 feet and its leaves turn a golden color in the autumn. When I was a kid I read a book called the Bears of Blue River where the characters in the book spent a lot of time looking for bears inside hollow sycamore trees. If you have not read that children's book you should take the time to find this book and read it. It is a classic and well known by Hoosiers from Indiana.
