Based upon the Vietnam War Memorial Sculpture by Frederick Hart located near the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
Known as The Three Soldiers or The Three Servicemen, the sculpture set out to capture the courageous people who served in Vietnam, the combat clothing they wore, and the weapons they used.
The man on the left is suspected to be U.S. Army of Hispanic decent. He carries an M60 Machine Gun and two bandoliers of 7.62mm cartridges.
The central figure is a U.S. Marine of Caucasian decent. He carries a holstered Colt 45 caliber M1911A1 semi-automatic pistol.
The man on the right is a U.S. Army infantryman of African American decent and carries an M16A1 Rifle in his left hand (not shown).
