This was the first time I came back to see Mama and Papa swan after the loss of all their babies, and Papa having a bad injury on his nose. I think a hawk was responsible, but who knows. He was in no mood for company after that, so I stayed away for a month to let him heal, physically and emotionally. Mama standing on the left, is never that fond of me, but Papa is talking to me here! When I came they were out of the water and close to the road, so I had to approach cautiously. Mama hissed once, no surprise there. Papa was more than happy to see me. He proceeded to pose for me on land, which is not quite as pretty, with those big floppy feet they have! He looked wonderful and happy again. I was so close to him, I would have loved to reach out and hug him, but I thought I best not. We were good friends and I felt that wonderful connection with him that day. I wonder what he was saying? The shadow on Papa is from mama, kind of interesting I though.

I am so in love with Photographing nature, animals and bugs! It just makes me happy! I have really taken to macro photography; it's like finding a whole new tiny world. While my main focus is on nature and the outdoors, I have been stretching my creative wings and have developed some creative photography that you won't see anywhere else.
