The tour promise to get you to the Sistine Chapel with no crowds. Nope! Go in the evening to the Vatican Museum if you do not want to be moved by an ever-flowing Roman water fountain of bodies pressing, pressing, pressing, pressing; and effectively not to stop or absorb anything except the feet of the people in front of you... By 7:30 the tourists are exhausted. The Romans are eating at 7:30. The Museum is open until 11 - do check the close times. The downside is the outside Giardino Quadrato which has objects dramatically lit at night but is a different experience in the Roman sun.
