This painting is the first painting I ever painted. I had no idea what I would be painting when I started, I just picked up the brush and began putting paint on the canvas. I kept making marks and playing with colors that I love the most. This is what came of my first experiment with painting.

I had no belief that I could paint and this painting taught me that I'm capable of creating art. When I first posted this painting to social media, I was terrified and shaking because I was so unsure and didn't believe in myself or my abilities at all.

For the first 49 years of my life, I believed to the core of my being that I couldn't draw or paint. This special tree brought life to me and showed me that I can indeed paint and create art that people actually want to buy. My hope is that it has the same impact on you when you see it hanging in your home. My name means "Hope" and I hope that's exactly what it represents to you when you see it.
