You have made this old dump truck look so beautiful! Love the colors!

Have to agree with the previous comment. This image really grabbed my eye!

You know, you wouldn't think I'd be attracted by an old truck on a field, but you pulled my eye to this, and it's like a picture in a fairy tale story.. fabulous.. you have a great eye! :-) Maggie

Absolutely stunning, Lois! :) LF

Congratulations on your beautiful image being featured in the Fine Art America Group "Cards, Cards, Cards - Note Cards - Greeting Cards - All Media Accepted” for 30 days!

What a marvelous artwork! Love the look and feel of this piece! Awesome dear Lois!! l/f

Scene, setting perfect tone, tough to be better than this one.

Lois Bryan replied:

John thank you!!! Glad you liked it!!

Sunset is so symbolic when something has reached its sunset years...end of day, end of useful life...double the impact. We can hate it, we can fight it, but we can't make time stand still ....except with artwork.

Lois Bryan replied:

How very true, Jade ... and how perceptive of you to have seen and understood it all. Thank you!!!!

I love this Lois. The light and beautifully colorful sky are gorgeous!

Lois Bryan replied:

thanks so much, Betty!!!

I like the blurr effect. The truck looks out of its element in the desert when it belongs on the streets of the city. Godd photo and good art!

Lois Bryan replied:

Thank you, Mario!!! It was a beautiful evening!!!

Lois Bryan replied:

Thanks so much, Dee!! And glad you enjoy my imagination ... I'm not so sure everyone in my real life shares your enthusiasm, lol!!!

I am completely envious of this find. I love the story, your description really brings life to the main character. So few people take the time to notice such moments, and even fewer think to grab a camera.

Lois Bryan replied:

Thank you so much!!! We recently moved to a new neighborhood, so there's always a flurry of construction of some kinds. This particular truck is quite a tough little guy. I don't even know if his headlights work anymore, lol ... but I love seeing him in his favorite spot in the evenings ... just chillin' ...

Well done. V/L/F

Lois Bryan replied:

thank you, Al!

Item was lost in transit. Tough figuring out how to contact Fine Art. Finally received 6 weeks after placing order. Then received the original shipment.

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Artist's Description

Funny how even the most commonplace things can take on a kind of beauty at sunset. Walking the dog the other evening, I spotted this old workhorse resting for the night in a neighboring field. I've watched him huffing and puffing up and down our streets for months ... a very hard working old truck. I loved seeing him taking his rest for the night, parked on the gentle slope of a peaceful hillside ... the songs of the evening birds in our ears, the wind blowing gently over all three of us. Even the clouds seemed to be reaching out their slender white fingers to give him a comforting pat on the head for all his hard work. Workhorse

Welcome to Lois Bryan Photography and Digital Art. I'm a photographer and digital artist living in the mid-Atlantic area of the US. Most of my images are based on the photos I capture ... some are based on images captured by my son, Rich Bryan ... and some are sketched and digitally painted completely freehand. Fine art purchases of my images will not include watermarks, and if I may make a recommendation ... images will look their very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
