About Sharon Karlson

Sharon Karlson was born in Mandan, North Dakota in 1954. She was a Registered Nurse for 29 years. but started painting in the 80's as a hobby at first, by taking classes from various artists. She became more serious when she started entering and selling her art at art shows, juried shows, and art contests, such as the Game and Fish Dept stamp contests. She began selling to private collectors, museums, and commissioned art pieces. and in 1993 The White House in Washington, DC bought 5 of her original pieces . She moved to Big Timber, Montana in 1993, and there she met 2 International Artists by the names of Jack and Jessica Hines. She has always had a love for nature and wildlife, and was able to take week long painting workshops...
