San Clemente is one our favorite Southern California beach towns. It's still a town and not a strip mall. Sunsets are often beautiful at the pier when low marine clouds haven't rolled in for the evening, which happens more often than not. I tried to capture a few differnt and interesting examples.

Thank Jahred and James, It does look really cool framed. Having spent a lot of time at this beach I was trying to capture the peaceful feeling of the sunsets there. When I look at it I want to actually hear that wave crashing and the pebbles that are just off to the left of the image making that soft rushing roar as the water receded back. This beach is one of the only ones left here in Southern California where you can still light fires and there isn’t a strip mall one road up. The town comes down hill to a small curve in the road with a coffee shop, some condos and beach shop and a restaurant, the pier and then goes back uphill to residences. So once people start to leave around sunset it goes very quiet and it's very peaceful.
