The railroad station in Durham, New Hampshire, serves the Amtrak Downeaster and is situated west of downtown Durham on the campus of the University of New Hampshire (UNH). The station was originally built in 1896 in Lynn, Massachusetts as the East Lynn depot, and was moved to the present site in Durham in 1912 when the Boston and Maine Railroad moved its tracks further from the center of campus. The track realignment was influenced by a 1905 train accident on campus.
