I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

Artist's Description

This is number thirty-five out of forty-six in the Canoe Lake Paddle as numbered along the path of the paddle. No one else was at Tom's Cairn although the signs and well used trail revealed that lots and lots of people visit the site. This was Tom's favourite camping site and typically where he pitched his tent on his first visit to Canoe Lake in the spring. Tom's artist friends James E. H. MacDonald (May 12, 1873 November 26, 1932) and John W. Beatty (18691941) were assisted by area residents and erected this memorial cairn at Hayhurst Point in September 1917. MacDonald composed the text for the plaque. Tom's patron Dr. James MacCallum paid the expenses. The cairn was in good shape in October 2016 although some of the mortar needed re-pointing. There were no missing rocks as far as I could tell. My paintings do not normally include signs or people. "Signs" by the Five Man Electrical Band kind of sums it up for me. When I paint in the studio, I listen to the stereo - loud. I hav...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
