Thank you Anne.

Beautiful! Love the colors and soft glow of the instruments. V/T

Jenny Armitage replied:

Thank you. The brass is an excuse to use any colors I want.

I like your watercolors! Vote here and in Contest - Musical Instruments!

Jenny Armitage replied:

Thank you!

Beautiful tones to this, Jenny. You show the medium as transparent watercolor on canvas. Is that a stretched canvas? How do you treat the surface and would it be under glass? Hope this is not too many questions.

Jenny Armitage replied:

Don't know how I missed your comment. The painting is on stretched canvas primed for watercolor. After painting, I sprayed it with Krylon's UV stop coat and then varished it with Goldens acrylic matte varnish. There is no need for glass and it may be washed with a damp rag.

Hi, Jenny, You've made a lovely work of art here & and you've demonstrated a high level of skill at portraying shiney metal using wc. Not something everyone can do as well as you've done it. The colors are my favs, they bring out the beauty of the instruments. See you at the discussion forum. :-)

Jenny Armitage replied:

Thank you Joyce. I'm just having a blast with metal. It is in some ways a license to place wildly with color.

Gorgeous reflections.......beautiful jeweltones. Cristopher Ernest said it best!

Jenny Armitage replied:

Thank you so much.
