Description
Tia Rosa's Garden is another painting in my series of Southwest images with a Mexican and Spanish influence. This garden patio with its' rustic, old turquoise painted doors just seems to call for Tia Rosa coming in from gathering a few flowers. She is using a cane now but still makes her daily walk to her prized flower garden. The path she is following is old and getting many cracks in the pavers. The steps and the walkway in the foreground are also showing many years of usage. The cracks are getting wider and weeds and grasses are filling in. The painted Mexican pots are still bright with all their cheerful color and hold many plants and flowers. Rustic iron works are beautiful in the window on the adobe wall, opening to the garden. Ristras are hanging to dry on the old blue doors and add the right touch of color to this Southwest scene.
