Gorgeous macro, Linda! Lf

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks very much Zina!

I love unexpected discoveries and this little creature, hiding in the sea of green, was exactly that. Great detail, both on the plant stem and the tiny bug. This was one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for March 1.

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks so much Nikolyn for picking it for pick of the day!!! not everyone appreciates bugs like I do!

Fascinating.

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks Liz!

A wonderful macro, Linda. That is a treehopper. The description in this shot will explain what's going on. LF https://fineartamerica.com/featured/mutualism-ants-and-treehoppers-steve-harrington.html

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks very much Steve, now I know, mystery solved! I couldn't find that bug anywhere and thought they were trying to eat them or something. Warrior 2 with ant tomorrow.

Wonderful capture!

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks very much Marica!

Fascinating...stunning capture, Linda! Cool title, too...L/F

Linda Howes replied:

Thanks so much Aurelio!

A fascinating macro, Linda. I would love to know what it is. The detail you have captured here really is excellent, both on the insect and the golden rod hairs..............L/F

Linda Howes replied:

Now I know that is a treehopper or a thorn bug. So that explains why I wasn't sure it was a bug at first. They want to look like thorns on a plant. Thanks very much Mr Kent! See Steve's post and the description on my Warrior 2

Beautiful close up of this pretty bug Linda, love the green tones! l/f

Thanks so much Kim!

This is a very poorly printed product technically. I love the shirt however the image is printed crooked and I have not had a response to my technical support request for 4 days. I am very unhappy with this order! (Ticket #341559) - Support Ticket, Created Nov 25th, 2018

I hope all of you will take a look at Joseph’s work. It’s unbelievable❤️

October 10th, 2018

I was pretty upset that the large was so small. I actually had to re-order it in a 2XL in order for it to fit! As for the art work, it is absolutely beautiful! I was proud to say that I was the only person I saw at the Ed Sheeran concert that was wearing that shirt and I got quite a few compliments! They told me in order to get a refund for the first shirt, I could send photographic proof that I had destroyed it, rather than shipping it back. I would’ve loved to have gotten my $35 refunded but I just couldn’t bring myself to cut it up so I now have a shirt I can wear and one that’s way too small. I’m sort of bummed about that but I am happy with the design of the shirt!

The large size is more like a small

Artist's Description

This bug is so tiny(how tiny is it you say?),well it's so tiny it took me a long time to figure out that it was a bug! These tiny ants were attacking these things, so at first I thought they were part of the golden rod stocks, something they like to eat. But they seemed to be plucking at them. I was fascinated with this and tried many, many times before I got a shot good enough for me to even realize that it was a bug. The tiny ants try to pull off the top part of their bodies. I will post another photo of the ant trying to pull on it.
