Description
In Tula de Allende, 75 KM. north of Mexico city lies the remains of an ancient Toltec civilization. Atop the Temple of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli or Quetzalcoatl ( House of the Morning Sun) there are 4 Atlantean figures also called the Telamons of Tula, wearing stylized butterfly breastplates, sun shaped shields on their backs, feathered headdresses and carry spear throwers and a supply of spears. They were once pillars supporting the main roof of the temple.
