The fox has always been my spirit animal, and this particular piece by Nic really captures the essence of that connection. Ironically, about four years ago I purchased a painting that could have been The Fox and the Forest's brother from another mother. That painting now hangs in my bedroom as a companion to this work. She is described as having "a head full of ideas, imaginary places, and quirky creatures . . ." The Fox and the Forest is a perfect combination of the imaginary and the quirky.
