Description
The developing cumulus in the southwesterly flow, were being stretched and torn apart in the strong wind shear ahead of an approaching cold front. The beautiful fall weather was going to an abrupt end later in the evening. It was a beautiful day complete with a kaleidoscope of colour and weather. I was looking southerly with the sun to the right while standing on the dock of a vacant Lake Solitaire cottage.
While painting I noticed Margaritaville bouncing against the wall of cedars on the shoreline and I puzzled that I didn't remember leaving that much slack in the rope. I hadn't. The knot had come loose and I had to go for a swim. Luckily the wind had pushed the canoe into the bushes but it was not far from sending it to the northeast beach... about a kilometre away.
