Description
This painting was created for the Base Commander of the 439th Airlift Wing at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, MA. This Airbase Specializes in Heavy Lift transports by using the Lockheed C-5B Galaxy as a means of providing humanitarian relief and military resupply. This painting depicts one of these giants landing with all it's landing lights on passing in front of a thunderstorm, I needed a dark background, but not a night scene so that the markings that make this a 439th cargo plane of the Patriot wing show would also at the same time show the lights that make this a dramatic shot.
