My neurodivergence always prevented me from meeting the expectations of silent meditation. When I found Arjuna, my life long journey to find a type of spirituality the fit me rather than forcing me to fit into a specific dogma ended. Most people say, "I'm trying to be a Buddha." I know I am an Arjuna and this duvee cover represents my graduation into a better way of living. If I could have my way, the back side would also be red, but it's everything and more than I could've asked for. Thank you.

The print is lovely but they advertised a queen size and I got a king size. I had to do alternations before it would fit snuggly over queen comforter.

This vibrant orchid was initially painted with acrylic on a luxuriously deep 3" museum canvas. I then collaged over the painting with handpainted found papers, including show box tissues, sewing patterns, maps and more. Leaving some areas of the underpainting peeking through helped to create dimension in this piece. The center of the orchid is embellished with german glass and metallic papers. The surface is coated with a gloss top coat. The edges of this panel are painted and ready for display - no need for framing.
My most recent work draws more inspiration from color and texture than distinct subject matters, and my objective remains to imbue my canvasses with a sense of emotion. Through the intricate texture and vibrant color in my pieces, I aim to create a visceral response in the viewer; my hope is that the viewer may connect with them emotionally rather than through conscious, deliberate effort. In this way, viewers create their own interpretations through this initial connection, and the narrative of the piece becomes secondary. I was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan.
