Artist's Description
This picture was taken from the inside of a mud- and cow dung school-house in Transkei, Eastern Cape, South Africa. This 'Lali' or area (because it can certainly not be classified as a town) was one of the last ones to have a church built, which is what I was there for. It is about 3 hours' walk from the nearest town.
