Tree of Life was created in many stages. It started with hot glue. When the glue dried it was all covered with gesso. From there copper was used to cover entire canvas. Then black was put in and then partially wiped away to reveal copper base. I went back and forth between the copper and black to get the results I wanted. Then I used some gold and more copper for accents. I let it dry for a couple of weeks (to let the acrylic and glue cure properly). Then it was sealed with Tri-Art Liquid Glass. This piece has so much depth that it almost looks like it was carved out of real metal. It’s very vibrant, electric and beautiful!
