Lock # 5 on the Trent Canal System is tucked away in natures beauty right here. The Trent canal runs 240 miles from The Bay of Quinte at Trenton to Georgian Bay, with 45 locks, rivers, and lakes. It was built for comercial use, delivering lumber etc but now is mainly used by pleasure boaters, tourists, paddle wheel cruises,cottagers, and loopers.The house at this lock is the original lock masters house built in 1936.
