I have been following the research into the Shroud of Turin for the last 40 years. I was so happy that Ray Downing made a portrait based upon the Shroud. I was very struck by the beauty and sensitivity of the portrait. I have it hanging in my living room right where I can see it most often every day. I bought the portrait on wood and am very happy with it. Thank you, Mr. Downing, for bringing this to the attention of so many people.

OH TO BE PRINCE CASPIAN, AFLOAT UPON THE WAVES!! I created this piece with a mixed medium process using one of our 80s rock photos. I paint patterns and textures, scan them in, mask them in with the original photo, print them to canvas, then paint on them further. Then i'll scan the final product back in. About Ryan Rock Artist
My name is Ryan and I am the artist. The pieces you see here are created from a revolving mixed-medium process that utilizes both digital and traditional methods. I use an image that I strip down to basic black and white, then I simplify that image to black and white. I use different paint and texture pattern masked in with the image. Then the pieces are printed, then painted on more, then scanned back in. This cycle continues until the piece is sold, so the pieces are always evolving.
