I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.

With True Colors of a Butterfly I let myself go and had fun using bright colors, and lots of movement for this lovely butterfly which appears to be dancing within the scene. At least that is what I wish for people to imagine when they view this work. I wanted to do something exceptional and that would make other people say hey I like that. If art doesn't please other people it loses some appeal even to the artist. Life is one big class room, and joy is a gift that we give others, whether it be in just being kind or by creating something another person finds joy in, such as a good meal, a new hat, a dress, car design, and of course from art. So I am hoping this work does bring a smile to many faces and good thoughts to the mind. Blessings.
Debra is a Tennessean who migrated to Maryland in the late 1970's. She studied art at FCC in Frederick, Maryland where she began her psychology and social science studies. She incorporated art into her curriculum. After graduating from FCC she studied for a Bachelor in Psychology with a Minor in Social Sciences. She then continued her studies and graduated from UMUC in Maryland with a Bachelor in Criminal Justice. She graduated with Cum Laude honors with both Bachelors and then began her Masters in Forensic Psychology. Do to health issues she had to leave her studies behind, which is when she returned to the art that she loves. Debra will be a good friend to those she knows due to the fact she never left her father's teachings behind...
