Capable of achieving higher towing speeds than any other tugs in their size category because of their hull lines and high horsepower turbo-charged power plants. Seattle, Washington, May 2000 Crowley Marine Services tug HUNTER won first place for the fourth consecutive year in Seattle Maritime Weeks Annual Unlimited Class Tugboat Race held on Elliott Bay. The tug plowed ahead of its competitors, reaching a speed of 16.25 knots and finishing the 1.9 nautical mile race in just six minutes and 28 seconds.
