Description
Turi is named after the town in Ecuador where she was rescued from the streets. We were looking for a companion dog and went to a refuge outside of Cuenca to view several homeless dogs. There were many dirty dogs loudly barking at the fence for our attention but my eyes kept going to this quiet, clean dog watching us a few feet back of the pack. Even though she was much larger than what we were originally looking for, Turi came home with us and has been an absolutely faithful pleasure ever since. She is the first dog to run to me if she thinks I am going out for a walk. She is continuously on guard against intruders at the doors. Turi will always be my favourite.
