In the early hours of an exceptional January morning in Sossusvlei, in the Namib Desert, Namibia, two other photographers and I embarked on a gob smack helicopter ride. A few minutes after we took off, we witnessed history: a huge sea of fog had taken over the dunes! The clouds were playing with the sunlight and the ridges of the dunes. We were swinging with the hot air and our cameras were releasing images that not many of us have.
