This is a painting of one of the 180' buoy tenders that the U. S. Coast Guard used to service aids to navigation, deliver supplies to light houses, perform search and rescue, fisheries patrol, and drug interdiction.

I am a retired United States Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer who has been painting for over fifty years. I am self-taught with a very realistic style. Through my service at sea, I have garnered a special talent for depicting the effects of wind and tide on the water.
