Robert L. Reeves was born in 1970 to a desperate runaway who sold him to gypsies who in turn traded him for a bag of seed corn, some magic beans, and a carton of Kools to a lovely couple from Waterloo, Iowa who raised him as their own. He thus began his life in much the same way he was destined to live it: going several directions at once. Reeves received a BA in Art with honors from the University of Northern Iowa in 1994 while pursuing interests in film, theater, and music.
