Beautiful piece!

January 21st, 2019

The print I ordered is perfect. I felt like the colors and overall look were correct/ like the original piece, which is what I wanted. I ordered it right at the deadline for getting it by Christmas, but received it a few days early before Christmas. Thank you very much!

Artist's Description

The living legend for Union Pacific Railroad is the UP 844, a steam locomotive seen here at Railfest 2012 in Bailey Yard, North Platte, Nebraska. Built in 1944, it was the last steam locomotive delivered to Union Pacific and is the only steam locomotive never to be retired by a North American Class I railroad. The UP 844 has a wheel configuration of 4-8-4, the drivers have a diameter of 80". This photograph shows the gyrating Mars light just above the headlamp. In 2013, the Mars light was removed due to the mounting bolts failing. UP 844 is used by Union Pacific for Excursion Service and logs thousands of miles each year. A Certificate of Authenticity is available from the artist. After you make your purchase, click on the CONTACT button to send me an email. In the email please give me the mailing address you would like the certificate mailed to. There is no charge for the certificate. Thank You!
