USNA's Class of 2020 Graduation and Commissioning ceremonies are breaking from tradition because of social distancing for COVID-19. This illustration celebrates the Midshipmen cover toss at Bancroft Hall's T-Court. "We Ended It Where We Started It." is the rallying cry for this special year in the long 175-year history of the U.S. Naval Academy. The addition of the Naval Chapel with its brand-new copper dome and scaffolding convey how 2020 is a year of change. At this time, we do not know if the Blue Angels will fly over the Academy so 2 illustration options have been created.

Joe Barsin's design and Illustration work has been recognized in prestigious annual award competitions including "Print" magazine, "Communication Arts", "Graphic Design: USA", "American Institute of Graphic Artists". His illustrations have been showcased in three editions of the Adobe Illustrator Bible and he has given lectures on computer graphic Illustration. In 2004, Joe illustrated Maryland's Bay Plate, the state car license plate that "Treasure the Chesapeake". Joe is originally from Akron, Ohio, and grew up loving art. He was fortunate to have traveled extensively with his family while a child and experienced art and culture all throughout Europe.
