Congrats on your sale!

Congratulations on the sale. Felicidades

Steve, I love the cars, but it was the people that (who?) made the boulevard hum. I did my best to catch as many of those kids as I could. Thanks for noticing! I will be posting more Van Nuys Boulevard photos this week, I have so many!

What an outstanding collection of photos! You have really captured the vibe of cruising Van Nuys in the early 70's. One thing I remember, and it strikes me in your photos, is the diversity of the kids that gathered up and down Van Nuys. So cool.

...had to drive my own car too!

@Richard McCloskey, Sings for him the jingle " Don't cook tonight, Call Chicken Delight! " It was either that KFC or Pioneer Chicken to order.

I was attending CSUN in 1972 adding some graduate level photo projects to my college resume. I graduated Van Nuys High in 1964---in that same year, I worked for both Chicken Delight on Magnolia Boulevard and for the Westward Ho Market on Sepulveda Boulevard just south of Ventura boulevard. I was also a box boy there. Ron W., what years were you at GHHS?

I worked as a box boy at that Hughes market and next to the Mobile was the parking lot the L.A. County Street Racers would meet at Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Good memories.

Very cool. I was gone by this time but not long gone. GHHS & LAVC. NR & GH and all around. Encino youth community center dances almost every week- summer, twice a week. Good Times!

Thank you.

Nice shot L
