18x24" acrylic on canvas created in 2010.
Something a little different from the other Wayne Salvatore work that I have seen, but I absolutely love it. I like the colors that were used for it, and I like everything about it from the texture of the paint to the way that the colors overlap each other. I like the black, pink, blue, green, yellow, and other colors that were used in the painting. It appears that the colors have just been placed one after another over the painting to really give it a great look and feel. The pink in the upper corners of the painting really was able to catch my attention pretty quickly, because there is not much pink in the rest of the painting. I was then able to move towards to bottom of the painting being able to take all of it in. Once I was finished looking at each section I looked at the painting as a whole again. This is what I like a painting to make me do, so I can tell the Salvatore was able to achieve that with this great piece that he has created. I was certainly not surprised by this great work of art though because it is one of Salvatore’s.
