Fantastic! Just love it. Stumbled!

Hi Barbara, Thanks for your kind comments. Glad you are feeling better!

Hmmm.. this could almost be considered to be in my backyard.. very nice.. and thanks for the comment.. always appreciated..

Hi C.J. When I get a very nice review like yours, it makes all the work worth doing. This is especially nice to hear from folks who know a lighthouse first-hand. These structures are always filled with history that has, one way or another, affected us all. Essential to marine navigation, these old beacons kept the ship traffic safe. Modern GPS has taken away some of the necessity but GPS will never replace the comfort of seeing the home light shining. Thanks again.

I enjoyed looking at your artwork especially the lighthouse series! I spent most of my life in the area of this one. Well done.

Thank you, Cheri!

Thanks for looking at my work. I like your work.

Thank you, Barbara. Each community with a lighthouse loves their light. The folks at Vermillion worked extra hard to bring it back. Your collection of animals ranks among the finest anywhere, by anyone.

Very interesting piece.. done to perfection. And I wanted to say thanks for all the kind comments..

Thank you, Larry. Your entire gallery just makes me stop in my tracks to look. All of it is excellent.

Love your lighthouses. Thank you for your comments on my sunflower painting, Larry

Thanks, Ellen. When I got my first home computer 20 odd years ago I discovered the Paintbrush program in it and thought, "Wow! What a box of colors." I am entirely self-taught with this type of art. I know other programs exist but I keep myself occupied with the basics. Glad you like my gallery. :-) Love your flowers!

These are incredible. Can't believe you did these without all the fancy software.

Thank you, Van. Each one of my lighthouse paintings is an actual place. Each lighthouse is loved by the folks around, "Their light." On top of all that, I love precision art. ;-)

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Help, I love the art but hate the acrylic finish and the size can be bigger. Can I send it back for a better finish and bigger piece?

I’ve admired Peter van Stigt’s artwork for years and finally decided to get one of my favorites. The acrylic print looks absolutely amazing! This is the perfect piece to complete the wall in our new “Aviation Heritage” room.

Artist's Description

This lighthouse is the second lighthouse at this location and it is an exact replica of the first to be located on the mouth of the Vermillion River as it dumps into Lake Erie. The lighthouse functions and is also a maritime museum. This lighthouse was brought back into service through the hardwork of the citizens of Vermillion Ohio. The gallery offers signed, numbered and authenticated Giclee canvas and fine archiival quality paper copies.

About Anne Norskog

Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
