Description
Shuttle Endeavour in space. An unusual view of a Space Shuttle in orbit, taken by an astronaut standing at the end of the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm. This scene was photographed during Mission STS-61, the flight to service the Hubble Space Telescope. The payload bay is filled with various components used in the servicing. Note also the open crew hatch on the payload bay wall (centre frame), the deployed communication and data relay antenna (upper centre) and the video camera on the RMS arm's 'elbow' (left of centre). Mission STS-61 flew on 2-13 December 1993.
