This year I have been beyond blessed to have found this BEAUTIFUL Vigilant Great Horned Momma Owl on a nest. This photo is the very first time I saw this beautiful owl.

♥ thanks so much dear Janet, I'm so happy you can see and feel this ♥ Gosh I miss them so much, not a day goes by where I don't think of them, I wonder if the eldest has learned how to hunt yet? All I know is that all 3 are no longer near the nesting area and the parents took them to a more remote place, which is how it should be ♥

Oh Heather, so precious. A mother on the job. So aptly titled as well. She is keeping careful watch for any possibility of danger. She is attentive, alert, observant, but also looks as though she is deep thought. Daddy owl comes home and asks, "What Have you been doing all day?" "Just laying around, I tell you, being VIGILANT really takes it out of me." I need all this laying around, just wait until they are all hatched." All of your owl images tell a story.
