Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
This image is one in a series of "stacked" village scenes. This series satisfies my desire to be working with color and texture vs. subject matter, as I see this series as primarily geometric abstracts. In that the area of Virginia that I live in is NOT a hotbed for abstract sales, the addition of roofs, windows, doors, etc. give the image a whimsical subject to satisfy those who need to know "what it is"! There are many more in this series that can be found on my web page, and I would be more than pleased to move any of them to this site in order to be translated into giclee prints.
About Wayne Potrafka
I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards.
