This photograph of the SeaView Cafe in Hope , Alaska was taken in 1986 using a Mamiya Universal medium format film camera. It still stands today and looks nearly the same although the "Cafe" sign has been moved to the buildings roof. Photograph has been re-touched and altered somewhat to salvage a faded and rather grainy color negative.

I've lived in Alaska since 1986, moving here from my hometown of Yakima, Washington. My wife Becky and I have two grown children and 6 grandchildren, all of them living near us here in Wasilla. I have been a carpenter, cabinet maker, newspaper publisher, printer, sales person and, of course, a photographer. Recently semi-retired I now have the time to pursue my photography with more zeal since I'm no longer saddled with a full time job and a family to support.
