Average Rating (4.93 Stars):

The image looks wonderful on this bag showing much more detail than I expected. I would like a bit more depth to the bag. It feels a bit shallow compared to the width.

Nice and large. Was hoping for an inside zipper pocket. Also some way to close the top, a zipper or latch.

Artist's Description

This is the second painting in a series of three featuring vintage cameras. II believe this one is a pre-WWII model. I find old cameras to be charming and I love all the dials and mechanical things. On this model I love the curve of the metal braces. There are many photographers who collect old cameras and still shoot with them. I often wonder where they find the film. This is from a time when the creative process took place as the photograph was being taken, not so much in the editing of the image. The black and white sprocket hole detail really makes the yellow background pop and gives the painting its 'edge'. A great nostalgic image painted in a pop art style.

About Karyn Robinson

Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for nearly 25 years. “When we moved to the desert southwest I was immediately taken with the exotic beauty I saw all around me. Where some saw only rocks and dirt, I saw majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, “A Boy and His Dog”) and capturing people at play. “Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I’m so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world. If I can just continue to paint and share...
