I absolutely LOVE Monica's artwork and it's extra special to be able to carry her artwork around with me wherever I go. Quality of the bag is good, too!

I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

I wanted some pretty tote canvas tote bags to replace the durable canvas bags I use for trips to the health food store. While certainly beautiful, this bag will not be useful for that purpose. The interior is made of that lightweight, cheap mesh fabric that tears with the slightest bit of stress on it. I was hoping for heavy canvas, but this is an odd fabric that will not hold up for what I wanted to use it for.

Artist's Description

The Old Round Church is in Richmond Vermont. Years ago I saw an image of the Old Round Church in Yankee Magazine. The image was similar to the one on this page and I wanted to create my own version of it. Background The Old Round church was built in 1812/13 and under the direction of craftsman William Rhodes. This 16 sided sixteen-sided polygon round church/meetinghouse was to be (and I find this amazing) a meeting hall and place of worship for five protestant denominations. (Baptists, Christians, Congregationalists, Methodists and Universalists) Why 16 sides? Well there are no documents saying why the Old Round Church has 16 sides but the three claims on its origin are: The first was that with no corners there was no place for the Devil to hide. Someone postulated that Rhodes had 17 workers, one for each side and one for the belfry. But the most viable answer is that Rhodes who grew up in Claremont New Hampshire, modeled this one on the octagonal church in his hometown. Within a few...
