It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. It’s now in his own company facility. He loves it.
This is an FM-2 Wildcat, I believe, a variation of the Grumman Wildcat U.S. Navy fighter plane that was built by General Motors Eastern Aircraft Division between August 1942 and August 1945. This World War II era aircraft was photographed at the 2018 Thunder Over Michigan airshow in Ypsilanti, Michigan. A texture was added to the image for artistic effect.
