Linda, you made me laugh! I am 79 so not quite old enough! :)) Thank you so much for your comment and interest! This was an easy one as the buildings are still there so just worked from my photograph, naturally I changed the ground finish and put a Thames Barge in as this is on the Thames Estuary. The street lighting I just copied as this is a historically preserved area, and most of the work is the people of course which I have a massive collection of books, references and of course the Internet. Great fun placing all the people in the positions from imagination, but so so difficult.

David, I was looking forward to your next work and even more so by understanding a little extra about how you got to this point in your art journey. This is so wonderfully executed and so interesting to view and I can't help hoping that your dear wife has a long list of requests! I've looked into this illustration for ages as I always do and I appreciate every movement and character and detail. If you are like me, you added those birds in the sky last whilst holding your breath? "Perfection" is all I can add! L/F

Wow!...Thank you so much Jane for your very generous and kind comments. :)) I strive to draw as realistically as I can, perfection is unattainable and undesirable as if you could achieve it then there would no longer be a challenge. You are so right about the birds Jane!...:)
