I took a solo trip to Cape Cod, Massachsuetts right before Hurricane Irene swept through in August 2011. I awoke early, avoiding the crowds, and enjoyed the early morning light at Nauset Light Beach in Eastham. A sandcastle remained from the previous day, as did the footprints of hundreds of beach-goers. I realized that this scene has been playing out for many generations, with families visiting the same beaches, inspiring me to add layers of texture for a vintage effect. The image is soft and gauzy with muted neutral tones.

I create photo art to bring beauty and calm into living and working spaces around the world. My art has been sold by major retailers such as Macy's, Wayfair, and Pier 1, and is in private collections around the world.
