The circa 1945 poster reads:

Below this in white text in a black square is "NEGRO American LEAGUE / BASEBALL." Printed in black ink on a red background is “25 TIMES WORLD’S / Champions / Kansas City / Monarchs / VS / Harlem Stars / FEATURING THE CLOWN PRINCE OF BASEBALL GOOSE TATUM.” Images of Goose Tatum and Satchel Paige are also printed on the red background.
