Thanks, Dan, for the feature in Premium FAA Artists! I really appreciate that. This is one of my images that has sold, and I'm happy to share it again.

Thank you, Terry, for featuring this image in Seen But Not Noticed. I hope members and visitors will read the history in the image description, for its history and legacy of determination are at the heart of this wonderful vintage piece. I'd love for people to know how special it is.

Thank you, Matt. This was a wonderful surprise--my third and biggest sale. I'm delighted. My thanks to the buyer!

I received a dull black Duvet. I have been trying to get a response from Fine Art America for a replacement. of a midnight black Duvet. The on I received looked as if it had been washed with bleach. Please call (314) 740-6405. pfhoskinsharris@aol.com, I ave been told that the machinary used by some company timberland was not working. This was for my daughters dorm. I sent her address so that they could send out a replacement back on August 21st. She has not received it yet.

Artist's Description

Vintage Oil Rig Santa Rita No. 1 by Connie Fox. ONE OF MY SOLD IMAGES THAT IS AVAILABLE AGAIN. Black-and-white sepia photograph of the vintage Texas oil rig Santa Rita No. 1. A 2011 street scene shot in Austin, Texas. This would make a wonderful framed and matted print, or perhaps a ready-to-hand canvas or metal print, for a wall of your home or office--and an great conversation piece for those in oil-related businesses. It is also available as individual or boxed greeting cards. Santa Rita is the patron saint of the impossible. Good name. The rig pumped oil for 19 years, beginning in 1923 when an oil well in West Texas finally blew in. That justified the faith of a several persistant, undaunted investors who named the claim. Since then, oil royalties have been flowing in to the Permanent University Fund of The University of Texas, Austin, Texas (USA), where the derrick is now located. A Top Finisher (4th Place) in the Oil and Gas Rig Contest, January 2012. Featured by the Archite...

About Connie Fox

Then came feature articles and poetry for national publications, leading to award-winning writing, graphic design, and consulting for advertising and design firms. Along the way: homemaker and mother of two, community leader, choir member, ensemble singer, and trip- and special-event planner. All of these skills and life-experiences now weave their way into...
