I have seen other's paintings of cats with brilliant colored eyes and always wanted to do one myself. This was really fun to work on but a challenge that I didn't perfect, but I think it still makes a pretty image :-)
I am a self-taught artist. I loved to paint in elementary school, but I didn't do anything with it until my early twenties when I began tole painting wood cut out animal and other decorations that I would sell at craft bazaars for a few years. Had children and let painting go until my forties. In 2007, I discovered art trading cards and for two years I painted and sold many on eBay. Then divorce happened and I got sidetracked again. Now in my fifties I have newly committed myself because art brings me joy. In my forties, I loved (and still love) color and whimsy and also love to give things a new look.
