Average Rating (5 Stars):

It is beautiful to look at every day. Love the colors.

3 stars the cover, 1 Star for the rubbery filling which I threw away, no stars for the packaging, so horrible that it puts a real damper on the purchase

Good pillow cover, rubbery pillow insert which I threw away, it would be nice to have a nicer package when it arrives, it makes you think that it is junk, not a good start, and a damper on your purchase. 4 Star for the cushion shell, 1 Star for the rubbery insert, no star for the crummy little packaging. It ruins the entire experience.

Artist's Description

Cape Disappointment is a headland located at the extreme southwestern corner of Washington State on the north side of the Columbia River bar, at 4166.13N 12453.52W. The point of the cape is located on the Pacific Ocean in Pacific County, approximately two miles (3.2 km) southwest of the town of Ilwaco. Cape Disappointment receives about 2552 hours of fog a year the equivalent of 106 days making it one of the foggiest places in the US. The cape was named on April 12, 1788 by British fur trader John Meares who was sailing south from Nootka in search of trade. After a storm, he turned his ship around just north of the Cape and therefore just missed the discovery of the Columbia River. Alternatively, the cape may have been named in Nov. 1805 by a member of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, which had recently succeeded in reaching the Pacific, when he found no ships in the vicinity, according to the journal of the expedition as r...

About Robert Bales

I am a retired teacher, coach and athletic director. While my wife, Judy, and I were teaching she had a photo studio, and I had a dark room where I did black and white and color. Some was for the studio while most of it was just a hobby. When we retired in 2000, we sold our house in Eastern Washington and moved onto our boat, Last Class, and our motorhome. We sold Last Class a few years ago and bought a small house in Yuma, Arizona and bought another one in Emmett Idaho. Now we spend the summers in Emmett and the winters in Yuma. Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and both of us enjoy taking the photos for this site. http://www.pinterest.com/thecanonshooter/
