You are correct sir! My friend indicated the symbol was a symbol of health and there are statues around the area of extremely fit men associated with the symbol. I appreciate your comment very much.

The Swastika is a religious symbol (Hinduism Buddhism) for auspiciousness. For westerners it is shocking but finding it here by the sacred river Ganges should not be a surprise. This is my assumption - is it correct? in any case I like your photo, Russell -- the lighting and composition are excellent. V/F and featured in Street Photography Group.
