Having had a Great Grey fly right over the hood of my truck in broad daylight , and then sit facing me on a tree right beside me was a thrill that cannot be repeated , but this photo is in his honor ! It is a magnificent image !!!!

Artist's Description

White or immature Gr. Blue Heron waiting for a fish to swim by his perch on a dead limb festuned with Spanish Moss in an old Florida scene. Artist is J. Dresser who I have been unable to contact or find on Google. Bought it in a Melbourne used furniture shop in 2009. Beautiful rendition of the bird in a typlical Florida setting. Could be anywhere on the Indian River Lagoons, or ? Painted in, I'm 90% sure is acrylics on a stretched canvas.

About Bill Hubbard

Bill grew up in a fishing family in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He specializes in marine art - seascapes and boats. Bill lives and paints in Melbourne, Florida and was a Director of the Strawbridge Art League. While his early work was with oils and watercolor; he now works only in the mixed-media of Acrylics, Pen & Ink. Growing up in Gloucester, most of his paintings reflect that areas' famous tradition of sailing fishing and trading...
