About Mark J Curran
Mark Curran lives in South Woodstock,Vermont. His interest in landscape can probably be traced to his birthplace on a small farm in the lovely Mohawk Valley region of upstate New York where his family moved during the Great Depression. After WWII he was raised and educated in New York City where he developed an interest in the urban landscape, with special affection for Ebbets Field. Ten years living in the midwest (Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin) yielded a Ph.D. with a specialization in Wordsworth--landscapes again. While he was named Master of Crayons in kindergarten, he exhibited no talent in the artistic realm until after he retired from working as an administrator at Brown University. His work is now published in magazines and papers and...
