My duvet "Abstract Feather " is delightful. It compliments my bedroom and my own art perfectly. The material used is exquisite. Very pleased with my latest purchase from you .

Of course, Jill Barklem's artwork is so amazing! A beautiful way to display more of her lovely Brambly Hedge illustrations is on a duvet! Brambly Hedge has been a very important part of our family for many years. We are grateful for Jill every day. (The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 has nothing to do with the artwork-- I really don't like the fabric that Fine Art America used for the duvet. It feels terrible. I would've liked a nice cotton or flannel.)

Artist's Description

The Eiffel Tower was created as a centrepiece for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, a Worlds Fair which celebrated the centennial of the French Revolution. The engineer Gustave Eiffel, had a permit for the tower to stand for only 20 years. It was to be dismantled in 1909, when its ownership would revert to the City of Paris. The City had planned to tear it down (part of the original contest rules for designing a tower was that it could be easily demolished) but as the tower proved valuable for communication purposes, it was allowed to remain after the permit expired. Today it is the most-visited paid monument in the world. (Wikipedia) The observatory at the very top remains closed as a result of the fire of August 2000. The second level deck (in the center) is 600 steps above ground level, which I climbed everyone of them. About halfway up, I realized I still had my camera backpack on, wishing I had left it on the ground with someone. It seemed to weigh more every step I took....

About Tim Stanley

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. More recently, I discovered High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. This new technique inspired me to once again pick up a camera and learn to see life in a new light. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types. I strive to give my images a sense of realism, but with a slight edge to pull the viewer into the image. All images are Copyright Tim Stanley Photography.
